Probably my first introduction to trail running was in high school training on Markham Trails, and some out at Lake Fayetteville. Went through most of college and grad school just running roads and moved back to Fayetteville and my wife and I signed up for the Inaugural Kessler trail run. Started dabbling in it here and there, and found myself gravitating more towards trail over the years.

Catherine’s Crossing is a one-mile singletrack loop located behind Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. It was designed for beginner mountain bikers, kids on balance bikes, and folks looking for a walk in nature. At the trailhead, there is a short pump track made of crushed gravel that riders can use to build confidence and basic bike handling skills. As well, there is plenty of greenspace, restrooms, hammock stands, and a pavilion, and it is accessible via the Razorback Greenway. It’s a great spot for families to spend an afternoon!

OZ Trails announced as a stop on the trail to Tokyo – Mountain Bike Olympic qualifiers come to Centennial Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas on April 9-11 and April 16-18. Fayetteville will be home to Olympic mountain bike qualifying for back-to-back race weekends this spring with the inaugural OZ Trails US Pro Cup, presented by Experience Fayetteville.
